My name is Crina Andreea Ioanas, but I go by Andreea.
I have a Digital Communication Arts major and a minor in Asian Languages and Culture in Japanese. I am currently a third year at Oregon State.
I originally come from Arad, Romania, a city close to the western border between Romania and Hungary. After immigrating to the United States, I eventually settled down in Portland, where I can say I grew up and lived most of my life.
I think Portland is a great city and all, but I don’t want to live there after I graduate. I plan on getting a job with YouTube or some other video producing web platform, live in New York City, and travel the world. I know my ambitions are high, but I’ve learned through many life struggles that I cannot let people limit me and try to change my mind, because that means that it would change the person I am, and I am trying to maintain that.
A litte more about me is that I never wanted to come to Oregon State. I tried transferring twice, and cannot wait to leave. My favorite sport through which I find a community, relaxation, a purpose and way of life is Taekwondo. I have my second degree in Taekwondo! I know four different languages: Romanian is my first language, English is my second, I know Spanish but I’m starting to forget, and fourth I am learning Japanese.
I am a sarcastic person who doesn’t like emotional and cheesy movies and topics or hugging and being touched by others. The way I interact with my friends and show affection to one another is through insults and jokes. I come off as an intimidating person who seems serious and scary to most, but I am actually pretty loud, goofy and talkative. I love rainy and cloudy days more than sunny because people are all inside of their homes and not outside doing things.
If I haven’t bored you or scared you off by now, then thank you for sticking around and reading a little bit about me!
